[02:55] Mort Klein has been at the helm of Zoa [02:57] for more than 30 years. I hope you've [02:59] been reading and listening to Mort. Mort [03:01] has testified before Congress, [03:03] frequently appears in all major media. [03:05] He gives talks across the country. Mort [03:08] regularly speaks with high level [03:10] politicians, policy makers, and world [03:12] leaders. And Mort is frequently asked by [03:14] the international press to weigh in on [03:16] breaking news. His recent op-eds [03:19] appearing in USA Today and the Jerusalem [03:21] News Syndicate demonstrate the reach and [03:23] respect conferred upon Morton the Zoa. [03:26] Mort's professional bio is diverse and [03:28] extremely impressive, but most important [03:31] to us here at Zoa as well to Israel and [03:33] to Jews the world over. Mort is [03:35] recognized as one of, if not the most [03:37] influential Zionists of our time. And [03:40] here to introduce our special guest, Zoa [03:43] National President Mort Klein. [03:45] [clears throat] [03:47] Well, thank you so much, Alan. Uh, this [03:50] is really a very important webinar and, [03:53] uh, I'll be discussing this webinar when [03:55] I have a private meeting with, uh, [03:57] Ambassador Lighter, the Israel [03:59] ambassador to the US this coming Monday. [04:04] Uh, [04:07] Dr. Andrew Boston is a distinguished [04:09] physician and internist. He's a former [04:12] professor of medicine at Brown [04:13] University Medical School. significant [04:15] researcher. He's had mega millions of [04:17] dollars in NIH research grants, but he's [04:20] also become over the last couple of [04:23] decades a great scholar of Islam and [04:26] jihad. He's written many major books on [04:29] Islam. Uh, the legacy of jihad, the [04:33] Islamic holy war and the fate of [04:34] non-Muslims, the legacy of Islamic [04:37] anti-semitism, Sharia law versus [04:39] freedom, the legacy of Islamic [04:41] totalitarianism, [04:42] the Mui's Islamic Jew hate hatred, what [04:45] the Nazis have learned from the Muslim [04:47] Pope, Iran's final solution for Israel, [04:50] and the most recent, a modern Quranic [04:52] comps. [04:55] He's also published the New York Post, [04:56] Washington Times, National Review, Front [04:58] Page Mag, and others. uh his books have [05:01] been reviewed as being groundbreaking [05:03] and extraordinary. [05:06] Dr. Boston's work makes it clear that [05:10] there's no such thing as Islamophobia. [05:12] A phobia is an irrational fear of [05:15] something. [05:17] As as Congressman Randy Fine said only [05:20] in the past two weeks, it is [05:22] unfortunately rational to fear uh Islam [05:26] and Islamists. The vast majority of [05:29] terrorist attacks throughout the world [05:31] have been committed by Muslims. There [05:33] are 15 Muslim attacks every day in [05:35] Israel. 15 every day in Israel, not [05:38] reported [05:39] in this dangerous time in this surge of [05:42] Jew hatred. Andrew Bosam's work is [05:46] especially important. Uh it is both [05:49] enlightening, informative, and [05:51] critically important to understand. So [05:54] not only is Dr. Boston courageous, but I [05:57] believe he's truly heroic in bringing [05:59] the truth of this danger to the world. [06:02] I'm honored to present to you my friend, [06:03] Dr. Andrew Boston. [06:08] Thank you very much, Mort. Uh thank [06:10] thank you, Alan. Um I'm going to try and [06:13] uh get my slide shared here. [06:29] Can everybody see the slides? [06:32] >> Yes, they're on perfectly, Andy. Thank [06:34] you. [06:34] >> Okay. Okay. So, um I'm going to to [06:39] actually work by by means of a of a case [06:42] study. Uh and uh I think that that will [06:45] become clear. Uh it's uh a case study [06:49] really revolves around uh an [06:51] Islamophobic an alleged Islamophobic [06:53] shooting at the Islamic Center of Rhode [06:55] Island. Um and and it it really becomes [06:59] quite illustrative of of the problem [07:01] that we're confronting. So it goes from [07:03] a local problem to a national problem to [07:06] an international problem. And so uh the [07:11] why I studied the mosque was uh at the [07:14] end of a lecture I gave in Barington, [07:16] Rhode Island, um I was asked after [07:19] presenting a a number of uh sermons [07:22] across the United States, some some [07:24] international that were full of [07:26] anti-semitic content uh anti-semitic [07:29] content hinging upon themes uh from from [07:32] classical Islam. I was asked if I'd ever [07:34] quer um if if I'd ever listened to any [07:36] mosques in Rhode Island. I had to [07:37] sheepishly admit that I hadn't. And also [07:41] there was a an Islamophobic shooting [07:44] alleged outside a major mosque in in [07:46] Rhode Island um about 6 weeks after uh [07:51] 10723 [07:52] which attracted ultimately international [07:55] uh attention. And so I want I wanted to [08:00] uh look at the at the mosque's sermons [08:02] and investigate the Islamophobic [08:04] shooting because it it curiously [08:06] disappeared uh from from the public uh [08:09] discussion. [08:11] Well, I want to start out though with [08:12] two fundamental questions. Uh what what [08:15] is a mosque? And what is the ancient to [08:18] modern classical Islamic doctrinal [08:20] understanding of Islamophobia? [08:23] And so um [08:26] a mosque known as masid in Arabic, it's [08:29] from the root to prostrate. Uh and [08:31] that's really consistent with the [08:33] overarching purpose of worship in Islam, [08:34] which is to be a quote slave to Allah. [08:37] And Muhammad, we're told, Islam's [08:38] prophet, actually built a mosque on his [08:41] arrival in Medina prior to even building [08:43] his own house. And the mosque as a [08:46] prototype that that mosque in Medina has [08:49] a very broad social, religious and [08:51] sociopolitical functions. Uh it's where [08:53] Islamic law, Sharia, unfolded. It's [08:56] where unfortunately the superiority of [08:58] Muslims and inferiority of non-Muslims [09:00] was proclaimed. And it's where the jihad [09:02] campaigns were declared and launched [09:04] initially in Arabia and then beyond [09:06] across Africa, Asia, Europe, uh where [09:08] the Muslim armies were dispatched to [09:10] conquer much of the known world in the [09:12] 7th century. uh this is the pattern [09:14] Muhammad established in his first mosque [09:17] in Medina and that p pattern persists [09:20] today and which modern mosques must [09:22] emulate. [09:24] So what is the doctrinal understanding [09:26] of Islamophobia? It's actually quite [09:28] straightforward and it's the antithesis [09:30] of the common conception. Um, in the [09:34] Quran's 3rd and eth suras in particular, [09:36] the the chapters and I've identified the [09:39] verses, Muslims are told to strike [09:41] terror in the heart of the infidel to [09:43] submit them. Uh, and in the traditions [09:46] Muhammad in the hadith, Muhammad [09:47] elaborates that he'd been made [09:49] victorious through terror. These basic [09:52] materials were incorporated into Islam's [09:55] uh juristprudence on the doctrine of [09:57] jihad warfare by eminent jurists, [09:59] including someone like Ibaldun. [10:01] Um and they're they've also come down [10:04] into the modern era. In 1979, a book was [10:07] produced called the chronic conception [10:08] of war written by a Pakistani general [10:11] and it was endorsed by the then military [10:13] de dictator Zel Hawk and AK Brohi who [10:17] was Pakistan's minister of law and it [10:19] simply reiterated this principle that [10:21] the Muslim armies should be victorious [10:24] if they if they terrorize the enemy into [10:27] submission. Now, that's the antithesis [10:29] of the current usage and I would say [10:31] exploitation of Islamophobia [10:33] uh by so-called Western Muslim civil [10:35] rights organizations like the Hamas [10:37] linked. And it's important to point out [10:39] their linkage uh Council on American [10:41] Islamic Relations or CARE. Uh and I [10:44] think it's become by and large a cynical [10:45] recasting of the aggressive classical [10:48] Islamic understanding of the term. Um [10:50] so, for example, we have hard data. [10:52] These are FBI data. I just looked them [10:54] up. Um so covering this 5-year period uh [10:57] mid August 2021 mid August 2026 of the [11:01] roughly 60,000 bias related incidents uh [11:04] less than 2% were classified as [11:07] anti-Muslim. Um that's 17th of the [11:10] number that were anti-Jewish. [11:13] This is a recurring pattern. [11:16] Okay. So what what happened at the [11:18] Islamic Center of of Rhode Island in [11:20] Providence that that attracted my [11:23] attention? So, uh, the the first sermon [11:27] that I watched actually was after that [11:30] horrific, uh, jihad terror, vehicular [11:33] jihad in New Orleans on New Year's Day [11:35] 2025. [11:37] And it was a very disconcerting sermon, [11:39] and I'll get into it in detail. Um, but [11:42] it also reminded me that uh, what had [11:45] happened to this so-called Islamophobic [11:47] shooting outside the mosque again, just [11:50] five, six weeks after October 7th. Um, [11:53] and I've summarized it for you. If [11:55] anyone's interested, there's a detailed [11:58] uh uh essay that I wrote for Real Clear [11:59] Investigations that was just published [12:01] at the end of July, um, which lays out [12:03] everything. But in the end, it this this [12:07] superficial buttocks wound that was [12:08] sustained by Mustafa Ramos, who was [12:10] selling paraphernalia outside the [12:12] mosque. Uh, and I called it this because [12:15] uh, that's what it became. And I call it [12:16] now the shot in the tuk has heard around [12:18] the world because it was covered by uh [12:20] national media and international media. [12:22] It wasn't Islamophobic. Both both uh [12:25] Ramos and the likely shooter Nasir [12:27] Dupant were Muslims and they were [12:29] hardened criminals. Um but unfortunately [12:33] this I think was used uh to to cynically [12:36] cover up what was going on inside the [12:37] mosque. And that mirrors US and global [12:40] trends. The mosque preached jihadism, [12:41] Islamic Jew hatred, anti-Christian [12:44] hostility. I'll give you examples of all [12:45] these kinds of sermons. Uh and it [12:47] cynically exploited this shooting and [12:50] the mosque care the local and national [12:52] and international media collaborated to [12:54] jin up this the sham Islamophobic [12:56] shooting uh narrative as did local [12:59] politicians and religious leaders [13:01] including you know sadly uh the Jewish [13:04] Alliance of Greater Rhode Island and the [13:05] Rhode Island Board of Rabbis. But all [13:07] these entities ignored the jihad hatred [13:09] that was preached at the mosque and [13:11] they've done so to this day. Uh and also [13:14] there's been no mayor culpa from any of [13:16] these parties even after the real clear [13:18] investigations and actually the New York [13:19] Post picked up my story too. Um uh [13:22] they've never corrected the narrative [13:24] and in fact the mosque's only response [13:26] has been to purge its entire Facebook [13:29] archive of sermons and it no longer live [13:31] streams the streams the Friday kutbas on [13:33] on Facebook as as it had been doing for [13:35] several years [13:38] now. what what was actually uh preached [13:42] at the mosque and I'm going to start [13:44] with the with the jihadism and then move [13:46] on to the um uh Jew hatred that was [13:48] preached at the mosque. Uh so just two [13:51] days as I mentioned just two days after [13:53] this this horrific attack on Bourbon [13:56] Street in New Orleans on New Year's Day [13:58] uh uh 2025 [14:01] uh where the where the the perpetrator [14:03] had an ISIS flag in his car. His Quran [14:05] was open to Quran 911 which tells [14:08] Muslims to kill and be killed in the [14:10] cause of jihad martyrdom. Um I I was [14:14] shocked the the Islamic Center of Rhode [14:16] Island's mosque uh imam is delivering [14:18] the sermon no condolences that day. Uh [14:21] and instead he called for the solidarity [14:24] of the global Muslim um and actually to [14:27] treat non non-Muslims harshly. The the [14:29] verse that he referred to is where [14:31] Muhammad says that Muslims should be uh [14:33] kind to each other basically and harsh [14:35] to the disbelievers. And then he [14:37] concluded with an Arabic supplication [14:39] that made matters even worse which was [14:41] literally a call to fight the [14:42] disbelievers and the polytheists. And [14:44] this is consistent with numerous jihad [14:47] uh war proclamations particularly in the [14:49] ninth surah of the Quran. Um on Friday [14:52] May 30th 2025 [14:54] um and again in a sermon ostensively [14:56] just about the Haj pilgrimage [14:59] evolved into a celebration of jihad [15:01] conquest. this this time more historical [15:04] uh the cleansing of Mecca's pag pagans [15:06] uh and not long afterwards the [15:08] aggressive jihad campaigns that were [15:10] launched um in the Middle East outside [15:13] of of Arabia so into Syria and Iraq and [15:16] they were all given religious sanction [15:18] uh from from the Quran's ninth surah. [15:21] Now this pattern actually fits what was [15:24] what was revealed in a landmark study [15:27] that was conducted by Khadar and Urashia [15:30] and and they published their findings in [15:31] two academic journals in 2011 and the [15:34] basic uh uh study was titled Sharia and [15:37] violence in American mosques and it was [15:39] a very simple evaluation of the direct [15:42] associations between Sharia adherence [15:45] they actually had a scale of Sharia [15:46] adherence in the mosques tightness of [15:48] prayer rows separation of men and women [15:51] etc. and the presence of violent [15:52] sanctioning materials at the mosque and [15:55] the advocacy of jihadism by the mosque's [15:57] leadership. And they they did this study [16:01] in a representative sample statistical [16:04] sample of a 100 US mosques. It turned [16:07] out that 81% of those mosques were [16:09] deemed as moderately to highly [16:11] supportive of promulgating jihad [16:13] violence to impose Sharia and and and [16:16] the Sharia uh adherence of the mosque [16:19] was directly associated with the [16:21] preaching of jihad. But only 5% of the [16:25] worshippers actually wound up attending [16:28] mosques where jihadist materials were [16:30] were not being provided because the [16:32] Sharia compliant mosque as it turned out [16:34] uh were that were promoting jihad were [16:37] much more heavily attended. [16:39] So as Mark mentioned, my most recent [16:41] book is a study of late Alazar Grandm [16:45] Muhammad Sai Tantawi who who was [16:48] um not only uh the Grandm of Alazar [16:51] University which is the closest that you [16:53] get to a Vatican in Sunni Islam which [16:55] still represents about 90% of Muslims. [16:58] Um he was also a great modern Quranic [17:00] commentator. And these are his uh words [17:04] from 2000 on the jihad. Jihad in the [17:06] path of Allah is a virtue that binds [17:08] Muslims at all times and is an [17:10] obligation on everyone who is able to [17:13] carry it out. And tens of Quranic verses [17:15] narrate the virtue of jihad in the path [17:17] of Allah as well tons of prophetic [17:19] hadith. And of course uh to his mindset [17:23] and to the mindset of all too many [17:24] Muslims, the the mother of all jihads is [17:27] the jihad to support the Palestinian [17:30] Muslims in their endless attempts to [17:32] destroy the state of Israel. Now, if you [17:35] go into um [17:37] more deeply, as I did into into [17:39] Tantawi's uh Quranic commentary, his [17:42] major Quranic commentary, it's about 10 [17:44] volumes. Um he he actually promoted [17:48] open-ended calls for jihad against Jews, [17:51] Christians, and pagans. Really, it [17:52] sounds exactly like the classical legis. [17:56] And and this was put together um while [17:59] he was um the actually the the the the [18:02] Grand MUI. as a political position in in [18:04] Egypt before he became Grandm in 1996. [18:09] Okay. So, I want to take you to three uh [18:13] very current uh proclamations declaring [18:16] jihad against Israel following the [18:18] carnage uh on October 7th, 2023. [18:22] One is from Alazar University. The other [18:24] is from a group of authoritative [18:26] Pakistani clerks and jurists. And the [18:28] third is from the International Union of [18:30] Muslim Scholars. and and the third might [18:32] be dismissed by some because the the [18:35] union represents it's really an arm of [18:37] the Muslim Brotherhood uh based out of [18:39] Qatar. But but what what the point here [18:43] is though that that the first two are [18:45] are highly [18:47] um representative of mainstream [18:49] authoritative Islam. They're not Muslim [18:51] Brotherhood organizations or or or [18:54] affiliates. Um, and they say exactly the [18:56] same thing as the much demonized Muslim [18:59] Brotherhood entity, uh, which is [19:02] essentially that, uh, the Muslim [19:04] community has to engage in a global [19:07] jihad, uh, to to destroy the the the [19:11] state of Israel, the the Alazar uh um [19:14] statements and and then ultimately [19:16] fought well, almost worse in a sense. uh [19:19] they literally put out a statement while [19:21] the carnage was taking place on October [19:23] 7th, 2023 celebrating it. Um and then on [19:27] October 19th, 2023, their fatwa uh [19:31] declared that Zionist settlers and by [19:33] that they simply mean all Israelis were [19:35] were legitimate targets of jihad. So so [19:38] non-combatants too. uh and they referred [19:41] much in the same way as as Ayatollah and [19:43] Ayatah Kami and Hezbollah would refer to [19:46] Israel as a cancer in the heart of the [19:48] Islamic Arab nation. The only other [19:50] thing I'd like to point out is that one [19:52] of the leading Pakistani uh clerics who [19:55] who who issued a similar fatwa in April [19:58] of 2025 [20:00] um is actually the the actually trained [20:03] a local anti-semitic imam in Rhode [20:05] Island who runs our largest mosque. [20:08] again showing you how these these ideas [20:11] unfortunately are are international. [20:15] Now many of you are probably familiar [20:16] during the um during the Iraq debacle uh [20:20] with the much balihood uh Shiite [20:23] quietest as he was referred to Ayatollah [20:25] Sistani. um he uh you know revealed who [20:29] he actually was um to those I guess who [20:32] were still naive uh just just recently [20:34] March 9th 2026 uh he issued he issued a [20:38] a call for global jihad this time [20:40] against the United States um because of [20:43] because of the uh war against uh Iran. [20:47] Uh and I just wanted to point out that [20:49] um going back 20 years during again [20:52] during the Iraq campaign um even a more [20:55] you know conservative publication like [20:57] the National Review in this case [20:59] specifically Rich Lowry wanted that [21:02] wanted the Cistani to to get a Nobel [21:04] Prize back then. [21:09] Well, [sighs and gasps] [21:10] these calls for jihad, these [21:12] authoritative calls for jihad by Islam's [21:15] most prominent teaching institutions and [21:19] religious leaders, they have an effect. [21:21] They have a lasting effect. These are [21:24] striking data that didn't get nearly [21:26] enough attention uh from from 2007 [21:30] uh conducted uh rig rigorous [21:33] face-to-face survey interviews uh in in [21:36] local languages through the opaces of [21:38] the university of Maryland and something [21:40] called worldpublic opinion.org and it's [21:43] an enormous sample of of 4384 [21:46] and and the countries they selected are [21:48] significant. So going west to east, it's [21:50] it's Morocco, Egypt, Indonesia, and [21:52] Pakistan. So you've got the largest Arab [21:56] Muslim country, Egypt. You've got [21:58] another Arab Muslim country, Morocco. [22:00] Then you have have non-Arab uh uh uh [22:03] Muslim, Pakistan, and the largest Muslim [22:06] uh country in the world, Indonesia, [22:08] which is also non-Arab. So a very [22:10] important representative sample and very [22:13] straightforward questions. uh did they [22:16] did the respondent desire to unify all [22:18] Islamic countries into a single Islamic [22:21] state or caliphate and did they want to [22:24] require a strict application the word [22:25] was strict of Sharia in every Islamic [22:28] country um and so what I've termed the [22:32] caliphate dreams uh the weighted average [22:35] response was 70 70.4% 4% affirmative and [22:40] the desire for Sharia what I've termed [22:42] Sharia thirst uh almost twothirds wanted [22:45] that 65.2% 2%. So these are not fringe [22:48] minorities. [22:50] Um I I've gone back to this book many [22:53] times over the last 25 years and it's [22:57] it's a remarkably clear and important uh [23:01] work by Samuel the late Samuel [23:02] Huntington from from from the [23:04] perspective of political scientists and [23:07] he he was he was unfiltered in in in [23:10] what he said. He was he was so blunt and [23:12] direct and he got while he got the term [23:15] the clash of civilizations from from the [23:17] late Bernard Lewis. um he did an [23:20] analysis that Lewis uh you know himself [23:22] would never do in terms of quantifying [23:24] things and he would and and his [23:26] conclusions are striking that the [23:28] overwhelming majority of faultline [23:30] conflicts um along this boundary looping [23:33] across Eurasia and Africa that separates [23:35] Muslims from non-Muslims [23:37] um uh intense antagonisms and violent [23:40] conflicts are pervasive between local [23:43] Muslim and non-Muslim peoples um al [23:46] although at the time given The [23:48] demographic was oneif of the world's [23:50] population was Muslims. In the 1990s, [23:53] uh, as Huntington put it, they've been [23:55] far more involved in intergroup violence [23:57] than the people of any other [23:58] civilization. Uh, there were, in short, [24:01] three times as many intercvilizational [24:03] conflicts involving Muslims as there [24:05] were between non-Muslim civilizations. [24:08] And he cited the the high propensity to [24:11] resort to violence and international [24:12] crises that spanned a period of 50 [24:14] years. Um and his conclusion was also [24:18] missed by many people. He said quite [24:22] plainly the underlying problem for the [24:24] west is not Islamic fundamentalism. It [24:26] is Islam a different civilization whose [24:29] people are convinced of the superiority [24:31] of their culture. [24:33] Now, I find this clearing house website [24:37] um uh the religionof peace.com which if [24:40] anything underestimates the the uh the [24:43] attacks that they're quantifying to be [24:46] invaluable. Uh they've been up and [24:48] running uh since since uh 9/11 2001 and [24:52] just to give you example of of the data [24:54] that they present. So I looked at it [24:56] yesterday uh list of killings in the [24:59] name of Islam in the last 30 days and [25:01] they had identified 107 Islamic attacks [25:04] in 23 countries in which 680 people were [25:07] killed and 514 injured. Um if you go [25:12] back to their uh uh tallying for all of [25:15] 2025, so the last completed calendar [25:17] year, um during during uh uh 2025, there [25:22] were 2015 Islamic attacks in 48 [25:25] countries, over 14,000 people killed and [25:30] uh uh 6,00 650 injured. uh since since [25:35] 9/11 they've tallied almost 50,000 uh [25:39] deadly terror attacks. [25:42] So I want to move on again returning [25:45] back locally uh to the Jew hating and [25:47] also anti-Christian sermons uh and uh we [25:50] we can um I I included in the slides [25:53] more examples of the anti-Christian [25:55] sermons. I wanted to focus for this [25:56] audience more on the anti-semitic, the [25:58] Jew hating sermons. Um on and this was [26:02] so gratuitous. The first one I'm going [26:04] to discuss on December 22nd, 2023. So 3 [26:07] days before Christmas, uh the preacher [26:09] seemed to have to get into end of times [26:11] Muslim theology which exists. It's out [26:14] there. But why he had to preach this [26:16] three days before Christmas, I found [26:18] gratuitous. and and and and the crux of [26:20] it is that the Muslim Jesus who has [26:22] nothing to do with the Jesus of the [26:23] gospels frankly will will come back 40 [26:26] years before the end of time and destroy [26:28] Christianity. Uh in the same sermon uh [26:30] he invoked uh Quranic verses I've given [26:33] you examples of them uh from the 17th [26:36] surah from the second and third suras uh [26:38] that accuse Jews of of while accusing [26:41] the Jews of genocide and reminding [26:42] Muslims that Jews are corruptors to be [26:44] punished and prophet killers. uh January [26:47] 12th, 2024. This is very important. Um [26:51] he noted that Quran 17, which Muhammad [26:54] referred to as uh the first surah as as [26:56] being the most important surah in the [26:58] Quran. And it's a very very short uh [27:00] surah or or chapter that's repeated 17 [27:03] times daily. [27:05] Um and this the last of this last verse [27:08] of this short surah uh it refers to the [27:10] Jews as having incurred Allah's anger. [27:13] Um, and the imam attached attached that [27:16] as is done in in in in classical [27:18] interpretation to the fact that the Jews [27:20] are cursed. And he again accused them of [27:22] prophet killing. And then he made the [27:25] connection to the to the Jews, [27:27] contemporary Jews, not the IDF, not [27:30] Israel, not even Netanyahu. The Jews as [27:33] a collective were were guilty of [27:34] committing genocide in Gaza because of [27:37] their in in veterately evil Quranic [27:40] nature. [27:41] May 30th of of 2025, [27:44] uh he uh the the imam of the day quoted [27:48] Quran 367 and 368, which basically is is [27:52] Islam's supersessionism that that [27:55] Abraham Ibrahim is not a Christian or a [27:57] Jew. He's a Muslim and Muslims have the [27:59] greatest claim to Abraham. Um and then [28:02] he segueed from that traditional [28:04] supremacism into a derision of [28:06] Christianity. uh and and and again [28:08] another ugly contemporary blood liel [28:10] against Jews and Judaism. He said quote [28:13] one group the Christians can't [28:14] articulate what they really believe what [28:16] their tohed their monotheism means and [28:19] the other group the Jews has reduced [28:22] their religion to an ethnic identity [28:25] that they use to justify a slaughter of [28:27] innocent people and this was pronounced [28:29] in perfect unacented English. [28:34] So uh on uh [sighs] there was a um [28:38] observant Muslim director at memory uh [28:40] for for a period of time who was [28:42] commissioned with studying uh hundreds [28:45] of Friday mosque sermons uh in the [28:47] aftermath of October 7th, 2023. And I've [28:50] put forward for you here uh his summary. [28:53] Uh, so a lot of the themes that I've [28:55] alluded to in the um in the in the local [28:58] sermons that I I I saw in Rhode Island [29:00] were repeated across the country and [29:03] Hamas's attack was legitimated. Um, and [29:07] obviously no no uh no guilt on the part [29:10] of Hamas. You know, Hamas Hamas is is [29:13] pristine and and and and righteous. Um, [29:16] these preachers and imams focused on [29:18] highlighting the similarities between [29:19] Hamas's attack and the wars fought by [29:22] Islam's prophet and his companions. [29:24] Demonizing Israel, narrating historical [29:27] anti-semitic stories attributed to the [29:28] prophet Muhammad, such as the hadith [29:31] about the stones in the gar, that's that [29:33] annihilationist hadith that that's [29:35] repeated often. Um, and citing verses [29:37] from the Quran that characterize Jews as [29:40] corrupt, treacherous, untrustworthy, and [29:42] the killers of prophets. And just as an [29:44] aside, if anyone's curious, this piece [29:46] can still be, I believe, be accessed on [29:47] the at the Washington Post. Um, it's a [29:50] remarkable story of of Sed Ramadan [29:53] himself, the the the Islamic scholar and [29:55] Muslim brother and actual old enough [29:58] actually old enough to have been an ally [29:59] of Hashim al- Husani uh and and was an [30:02] Eisenhower administrator [30:04] uh partner against communism, a very a [30:07] very dangerous and failed idea. Um, and [30:11] he was railing and calling for a jihad [30:13] against uh, Israel all the way back in [30:15] 1975 in a in a small Washington DC [30:18] mosque. [30:21] So, Tantawi in his uh, PhD thesis that I [30:26] had translated in in in my current book, [30:28] a modern crown of comp against the Jews, [30:31] um, this is one of his many uh, very [30:34] dark summary statements. Um he talks [30:37] about uh the reader of the noble Quran [30:39] will will clearly see that it has [30:41] depicted many of the inappropriate [30:43] conducts, despicable manners and cunning [30:45] and crooked behaviors that the children [30:47] of Israel indulged in. And he gives all [30:49] the Quranic citations has branded them [30:51] with disbelief ingratitude, egotism, [30:53] cowardice, deceit, rebellion, [30:55] transgression, cruelty, devian, hasting [30:58] to transgression and aggression, [30:59] unjustly consuming people's wealth, and [31:02] many more of the vices that are recorded [31:04] in the Noble Quran. They therefore [31:06] earned Allah's displeasure, were [31:08] stripped of Allah's mercy and [31:09] compassion, and they were stricken with [31:11] disgrace and misery. This is these are [31:13] the this this disgrace and misery is is [31:16] is permanent. Um and then he says, [31:19] "These vices that the noble Quran [31:20] recorded can be clearly seen anywhere [31:22] and throughout the ages. The passage of [31:25] time has only made these vices more [31:27] ingrained and rooted in them." Again, [31:29] this is the man who would go on to [31:30] become uh the papal equivalent of Sunni [31:33] Islam. uh and he never he never mllified [31:36] his views. Um in his major Quranic [31:39] commentary he's commenting on a central [31:41] anti-semitic verse which is kind of a [31:43] transference verse that the Jews harbor [31:45] the greatest enmity towards the Muslims. [31:47] Um uh and he says it's a statement that [31:50] serves to reinforce verses that [31:52] documented the many despicable [31:53] characteristics and crooked and cunning [31:56] ways of the Jews. refers to a a [31:58] tradition that that Muhammad allegedly [32:01] said whenever a Jew is alone with a [32:02] Muslim, the Jew will strive to kill him. [32:07] Okay, so this is something that I [32:10] stumbled across [32:12] uh over the weekend, this just this past [32:15] weekend. And it was it was on the one [32:18] hand validation of all the work that I [32:21] put into the uh Tantawi translation and [32:23] I'll I'll show you why in the ne in the [32:25] next hand, but it was still shocking to [32:28] come across it. So um this is this this [32:31] man uh Tarak Masoud has now been [32:34] disinvited from the Islamic Society of [32:36] North America conference that will also [32:37] be attended by the Democratic nominee [32:40] for Senate Elsed Abdul Elsed um but in [32:46] April of 2024 that at least that's when [32:48] he posted this lecture uh at his YouTube [32:51] channel um this was this was quite quite [32:55] quite shocking even for me um uh maybe [32:58] not so much given the background but but [33:00] um here's what he said what Hitler said [33:03] the Quran had said 1400 years ago Hitler [33:06] did not do this by looking at the Quran [33:08] he did this by observing but Quran and [33:10] here he's referring to verses 564 and [33:13] 174 says that there is no such evil and [33:16] corruption in this world is that caused [33:17] by the Jews Allah says that you the Jews [33:20] are the biggest enemy of the Muslims [33:21] that's Quran 582 which I just referred [33:23] to but he Hitler used to say historical [33:26] words he knew that the world will say [33:28] bad things about me, meaning Hitler [33:30] later, that I have killed locks. A lack [33:33] a lack a lock is is 100,000 locks of [33:36] Jews. He said that if I wanted, I would [33:38] have killed all of them. I would not [33:40] leave even one alive. But I am leaving [33:42] some alive so that when the world [33:43] remembers me that the Jews were cruel, [33:46] then the world will know why I killed [33:48] them. I am leaving some alive. They will [33:50] not sit peacefully. If Hitler was alive [33:53] today, the world would have said that [33:55] you, Hitler, were not a good person, but [33:58] you did the right thing. And I should [34:00] just point out as an aside, I put this [34:02] background in in a in a blog that in [34:05] fact Hitler had a great affinity for [34:08] Islam, particularly the jihad and the [34:10] martial qualities of Islam. And he [34:12] expressed uh these sentiments as early [34:14] as 1926 when he met an Indian Muslim [34:18] polymath, Iniat Khan uh in in in [34:20] Germany. And later he expressed similar [34:23] sentiments uh to Nazi colleagues [34:25] according to um materials we have from [34:28] Albert Spear uh Dr. Herman Newacher who [34:31] was um a Nazi mayor of Vienna and [34:34] Alexander Lure who was a a Luwaffa [34:38] Luftwafa general. [34:42] And in the the the work that uh that we [34:45] just translated and and I introduced a [34:48] modern Quranic comp against the Jews um [34:52] Tantali builds this interesting [34:54] foundation. It's actually what he does [34:56] uh for for the book in totality. In [34:59] other words, it's uh eight chapters and [35:01] a and a conclusion and um there's a very [35:05] short introduction. As a matter of fact, [35:06] he he uh in it was initially published [35:09] in in 1968. It was defended in 1966. [35:12] It's huge. It it wasn't published until [35:14] 1968. [35:15] Um and then um it was republished about [35:18] a year or so after he became grandandy [35:20] mom and he reintroduced it just to tell [35:22] everyone he still believed in everything [35:24] that was that was in his PhD thesis from [35:26] 30 years earlier. Um and he goes through [35:30] um in this case all the the penalties [35:32] that that Allah inflicted upon the [35:34] children of Israel, the Jews for their [35:36] alleged injustices and immorality. Um [35:39] and uh these and other materials. It's [35:43] it's very interesting what he does that [35:45] he does refer in the last few chapters [35:48] to to some modern conspiratorial themes [35:51] that are that are westernder derived. Um [35:54] but but what he makes clear is that [35:56] Muslims are unable to appreciate these [36:00] western themes um without understanding [36:04] their their origins uh in terms of the [36:08] Quran Quranic conspiratorial Jew hatred [36:12] um that that that they get from Islam. [36:15] And and this is sort of the opposite of [36:16] some of these existing paradigms where [36:18] we have we're supposed to view Islamic [36:20] anti-semitism [36:22] as something that's suigenous [36:24] uh that that uh is is a result of the [36:28] importation of western ideas into Islam. [36:31] Tantawi doesn't buy that for a moment. [36:33] And so what I what I've using these [36:36] verses up at the top uh he enumerates uh [36:40] six points uh about the punishments [36:42] dispersing and scattering them and [36:44] sending them uh mighty ones who would [36:46] make them suffer terribly until the day [36:48] of judgment. Uh Allah's warning and [36:50] decree for corrupting the land twice. [36:52] Forbidding them good things because of [36:54] their aggression and violations. [36:56] Condemnation and punishment. Allah's [36:58] condemnation and punishment by reducing [36:59] them to apes and pigs. That's the [37:01] infamous Quran 560 verse. Um, they [37:04] earned Allah's wrath and condemnation. [37:06] He cursed them. They were stricken uh [37:08] with disgrace and misery. Um, and he [37:11] adds boundless selfishness and greed and [37:14] and arrogance and perceive. [37:19] Um, and inextricable as he puts it, [37:22] Jewish Quranic traits of isolation, [37:23] tribal solidarity and fan and [37:25] fanaticism. [37:27] uh and he adds along with their [37:28] purported betrayal of the countries they [37:30] live in. And then he a he rationalizes [37:33] Adolf Hitler's quote unquote appropriate [37:36] condemnation and treatment of the Jews [37:39] um by repeating um by repeating Hitler's [37:42] conspiratorial claims in mine as if [37:44] they're valid. But again, the basis for [37:48] that kind of understanding that that [37:49] that that warped and sick understanding [37:53] is is the Quranic depiction of the Jews. [37:57] again. So th this type of preaching has [38:00] real world consequences. Um uh what I've [38:04] created a grid for you here to to look [38:05] at these are ADL survey data from their [38:08] most recent uh world survey which was [38:10] conducted in in 2024 and and released at [38:13] the beginning of 2025. And then in the [38:16] far column on the right there's some old [38:18] Pew polling data about um about desiring [38:22] strict application of of of Sharia. It's [38:25] it's very limited. You can see all the [38:27] missing uh uh entries there. And then [38:30] something that's very simple to gauge [38:31] and is 100% uniformly. Yes. Yes. And [38:34] that is the application and the [38:36] punishment of of alleged blasphemy [38:39] against Islam in all these countries. So [38:42] what you have are the 19 most [38:44] anti-semitic countries in the world. and [38:47] they're all uh uh Muslim uniform or [38:50] certainly Muslim majority uh countries [38:53] with a prevalence of extreme [38:54] anti-semitism. So the the ADL scale is [38:57] very simple. It's whether you agree with [38:59] at least six out of 11 anti-semitic [39:02] tropes that they present the respondent [39:04] and if you agree with at least six of [39:06] them you become an index case of extreme [39:08] anti-semitism and they just tally up the [39:11] prevalence. So the the prevalence of [39:14] extreme anti-semitism in in these Muslim [39:16] countries is anywhere from 64% to 97%. [39:21] And even what had previously been [39:23] referred to over many decades as a more [39:25] moderate country, Indonesia, the [39:27] prevalence was is now 96% of extreme [39:30] anti-semitism. And you see it it [39:34] correlates quite neatly with with uh [39:37] with existing blasphemy law. And I I [39:40] have the same grid that I've done for [39:41] Christian persecution, but again, it's [39:44] in the slides that that I'll that [39:45] everyone can download. [39:48] Okay. So, you know, Morton and I have [39:50] had our battles with the ADL. Uh I think [39:52] the Yeah, these are the data that, you [39:54] know, um they basically purged, but [39:57] thank God I I took screenshots and and [39:59] we have all the data. So they applied [40:01] the same scale over different iterations [40:04] uh to to these countries in in Western [40:06] Europe and and even had some data which [40:09] they've never fully published on the [40:11] United States. They're old and if [40:12] anything unfortunately they're probably [40:14] worse now. But just look again the the [40:17] extreme anti-semitism prevalence doesn't [40:19] reach you know Middle East Muslim Asian [40:22] Muslim countries but it's it it was u uh [40:26] creeping up pretty high to up to 62% uh [40:30] in France and yes Europe has its own [40:34] ugly tradition of of of anti-semitism [40:36] Christian anti-semitism but it's it's [40:38] again even in Europe the the the extreme [40:42] anti-semitism is disproportionately a [40:44] Muslim phenomenon anywhere from two to [40:46] fourfold greater than the background of [40:48] of non-Muslims or Christians. Um, and in [40:51] the United States, which is a much more [40:53] phosmetic country, but again, these are [40:55] older data. We we I I I tremble to see [40:59] what they would look like, you know, [41:00] with the more recent ADL surveys, but [41:02] they haven't released the data, which is [41:04] part for the course for them. But but [41:06] even in 2017 and this was a huge sample [41:10] uh it was 30 if I recall 3,600 uh uh [41:12] non-Muslims and an over sample of 805 [41:15] Muslims. It was six-fold greater uh [41:18] amongst amongst the Muslims in the [41:20] United States. More recently, uh the the [41:23] political pollster or Signal uh looked [41:25] at just whether or not asked whether or [41:28] not the Hamas attack was was justified. [41:30] And this was done within a within a week [41:32] or a few weeks within a within a a month [41:35] or a few weeks after October 7th, 2023. [41:38] Um and almost 58% of US Muslims viewed [41:40] the attack as as justified. Uh much more [41:44] recently there was some Pew polling data [41:47] uh that indicated that 44% of US Muslims [41:50] uh had a favorable uh view of Hamas. So [41:54] my conclusions [41:56] uh mosques including those in the US [41:59] continue to play their historical role [42:00] as centers where Muslims are taught [42:02] Islamic supremacism and to disparage and [42:05] ultimately wage shihad against [42:06] non-Muslims to impose the Sharia upon [42:08] them. This traditional ancient commodern [42:11] indoctrination sanctioned by [42:13] authoritative institutional Islam and [42:15] widespread has predictable negative [42:18] consequences. Burgeoning jihadism, Jew [42:20] hatred, and hostility towards Christians [42:22] and indeed all non-Muslims. [42:25] This audience and all Americans must [42:28] observe and document if local mosques [42:30] are preaching jihadism and/or hatred of [42:32] non-Muslims, share their findings with [42:35] lay religious and political leaders and [42:37] possibly law enforcement while demanding [42:40] action including at minimum public [42:42] social ostracism and perhaps forfeite of [42:45] max uh mosque tax exempt status and [42:48] potentially other legal measures. Thank [42:50] you very much. [42:52] >> Thank you Andy. Uh, I'm going to turn [42:54] the floor over to Mort. Mort, do you [42:57] have questions, thoughts? [42:58] >> Yes. Wow. Well, Andy, uh, thank [43:02] [clears throat] you so much for all of [43:03] your work. Uh, we need more people to [43:05] know of your work, especially in the era [43:07] we're living in since, uh, this Islamic [43:12] and other dangers, uh, are so much more [43:14] prevalent and so much more serious. [43:18] [snorts] [43:20] Let let me uh ask you [43:25] in the negotiations America is having [43:27] with Iran, with the Palestinian [43:29] Authority, with Lebanon, [43:32] do you think this administration is [43:35] acting in a way where they understand [43:37] Islam and jihad in the negotiating? [43:47] Second, second, do you think uh [43:50] President Al-Sisi of Egypt has publicly [43:53] years ago said there should be a [43:55] revolution in Islam because it's so [43:57] awful? He never said it a second time [44:00] that I'm aware of. Do you think it [44:02] there's any possibility of a revolution [44:04] in Islam where these types of promotions [44:07] of violent hatred and and violence can [44:10] change? Do you think that's a [44:12] possibility? And I have to ask you a [44:13] third question. I apologize. By the way, [44:16] I should say Isna disinvited Masoud not [44:19] because of his Jew hatred but because [44:21] they found that he was a p pedophile. It [44:23] had nothing to do with Jew hatred. So my [44:26] third question after the administration [44:28] and the revolution [44:30] the Abraham Accords does the Abraham [44:32] Accords which are weak. They're not that [44:34] tremendous but there's they're a [44:35] positive direction. [44:38] Do you think that that bodess well for [44:40] the future of relations between Islam [44:42] and Israel or do you think that this is [44:45] a temporary phenomenon and it won't go [44:47] much further? [44:49] >> Sorry to ask three questions but I think [44:51] >> so. So, so, um, with regard to [44:54] negotiations, whether they're between [44:55] the US and Iran or or US, Israel and [44:59] Hamas, um, you you you have to just you [45:03] have to I don't think that, um, [45:05] certainly the American negotiators, you [45:07] know, the president's son-in-law, etc., [45:11] uh, have a clue about the basic concept [45:14] of a hoodna. Um, so that so that when [45:17] they're when whether whether it's Iran, [45:19] whether and remember the the the IRGC, [45:21] if you look at Iran's constitution, it [45:23] they they declare themselves basically a [45:25] jihadist uh republic that that whose [45:28] goal is, as far-fetched as it may seem, [45:31] is is to uh dominate the region and [45:34] ultimately the world in and spread [45:36] Sharia. So, it's it's a revolutionary [45:38] jihadist regime. [45:40] um they they're [45:43] interested in in suing for peace only [45:45] when they're when they when they're [45:47] weak. Uh so that must be borne in mind. [45:50] And and why do they sue for peace when [45:52] they're weak? To rebuild. Uh and it's [45:54] based on on Islam's prophet Muhammad uh [45:58] uh his his treaty of Alhu Daby with the [46:01] Meccans where he used the the the treaty [46:03] and then unilaterally broke it. As a [46:05] matter of fact, it's it's it's a [46:06] principle in Islamic law that the that [46:07] the Muslims are must break the treaty [46:10] when they feel themselves stronger. So, [46:12] I I I think that's an underlying [46:14] underlying principle. People can dismiss [46:16] it and say it's uh you know, it's it's [46:18] part of ancient lore. Um it isn't. Uh [46:21] you know, you'll you'll see Hamas and [46:23] Iranian officials referring to what the [46:25] situation is now as as a hoodna on and [46:28] off. Um so, take them literally. Um [46:32] uh so certainly be bear that in mind and [46:35] both Israel and the United States have [46:36] to always be in a position of military [46:38] superiority to even enter into [46:42] negotiations. Um but uh yeah, as far as [46:45] negotiations themselves, Mort, I mean, [46:47] you know, you've you've appropriately [46:49] criticized them. There's there's too [46:51] many concessions. is the goodies are [46:52] being given up front and and before [46:54] there's and that's that's always a [46:56] dangerous principle in general in terms [46:59] of what Cece said. Um yeah, you know, [47:03] honestly I have to say now enough time [47:05] has passed where it was just it was just [47:06] soothing rhetoric. uh there's no the [47:09] institutions that he was sort of briefly [47:12] referring to sometimes directly [47:13] sometimes more indirectly uh would [47:15] prominently be Alazar and certainly [47:17] nothing's changing at at at allazar um [47:21] and so it's I wouldn't quite say it it [47:24] was hypocritical maybe he actually meant [47:25] it but he he realized how you know it's [47:28] it's it's a it's it's very difficult [47:30] with his own population uh to to promote [47:33] such changes uh and his own religious [47:35] institutions Um, [47:38] sorry, Mort. What what was [47:40] >> the Abra the Abraham? [47:41] >> The Abraham Accords. Yeah. um uh at the [47:45] risk you know instead of instead of [47:47] sharing the screen again and and and I I [47:49] can I can show you what you know there [47:51] there's look the Abraham Accords in [47:54] principle uh it's it's obviously it's [47:57] obviously important to have to have even [47:59] cold peace and and if uh and if there [48:02] can be common enemies that result in [48:05] strategic agreements you know as the [48:07] case was briefly at least it seems with [48:09] Iran although I think even that's you [48:11] know breaking down Now um of of course [48:15] but but that has nothing to do with the [48:18] I don't think any of these societies uh [48:20] so the the well Saudi Arabia is on the [48:23] cusp and looks like it's going in the [48:25] away from the Abraham Accords but UAE [48:27] even which is the most you know the [48:29] furthest along and perhaps the one with [48:32] the the greatest potential for reform [48:34] Bahrain and Morocco. I mean, in terms of [48:38] what's going on with the populations, [48:41] um, I I can I can give you ADL data from [48:45] 2014 and then 2024 in terms of their [48:48] extreme anti-semitism score uh to show [48:52] you um that something's not going right [48:55] within the populations over the period [48:57] where the Abraham Accords were [48:59] initiated. Saudi Arabia again is on the [49:02] cusp, but I'll I'll I'll give you as an [49:04] example. In 2014, the prevalence of [49:07] extreme anti-semitism in Saudi Arabia [49:10] was 74%. In 2024, it was 92%. So, it was [49:13] up 18%. And that's beyond beyond the um [49:16] the margin of error. In Bahrain, it was [49:19] 81% in 2014. In 2024, it was 95% 95%. [49:24] So, plus 14% 14% change again beyond [49:28] beyond the the measurement error. In [49:31] UAE, the most promising of the [49:33] countries, it was 80% in 2014 and it [49:36] went up 11% to 91% in in 2024. Um, [49:41] Morocco is the one country where it [49:43] actually declined and it seemed to be [49:45] beyond the margin of error. It was 80% [49:47] in 2014 and it's 70%, you know, in 2024. [49:51] Now, all the numbers, whether they went [49:53] up or down in the case of Morocco, are [49:56] still, you know, incredibly high. Um but [50:00] I I I think they are illustrative of um [50:03] how difficult uh this is going to be [50:07] that that this is going to require um [50:10] the kinds of changes that that these [50:12] societies you know don't appear ready [50:15] for yet. That has nothing to do though [50:17] more with the strategic agreements. I [50:19] think the strategic agreements are are [50:21] are important, but in terms of, you [50:24] know, cultural exchanges and and and [50:26] normalization. Um, it it's it doesn't [50:29] bode well. And we have the example of [50:30] Egypt. You know, there's been a cold [50:32] peace with Egypt since 1979. [50:35] Um, but but the the Egyptian population [50:38] and certainly its religious hierarchy [50:40] has always been dead set against quote [50:43] unquote normalization. In other words, [50:45] real exchanges [50:47] um between the Israeli and Egyptian [50:50] populations. So, I I I think that that [50:52] has to be borne in mind. But but in [50:54] terms of, you know, not having armed [50:57] conflict on Israel's borders, I I I I [51:00] think it's it's it's a perfectly [51:01] legitimate uh you know, pursuit. [51:07] >> Allan, you have questions from the [51:09] audience? [51:09] >> Yes, I'm going to do a few. We might run [51:11] over a little bit, folks. Uh we'll try [51:13] and shorten it, but we have a couple of [51:15] good questions that I'd like to ask Dr. [51:16] Boston. So Andy from National Board [51:20] Member Jeffrey Cranes and I've [51:22] aggregated a question to include a [51:24] supplement from another good friend of [51:25] Zoa, Kevin John Williams. Um most of us [51:29] are familiar with the radical teachings [51:30] of mosques in the US. What if anything [51:33] is our government doing about this and [51:36] why are we tolerating it? And how do we [51:38] confront Islam as a political movement [51:40] given the first amendment guarantees [51:42] here in the US? [51:44] >> Right. Right. Okay. So, um I don't see [51:47] the government whether it's local uh [51:50] state or federal doing anything about [51:52] what's going on in the mosques. Um and [51:54] and and then so uh it sort of it's it [51:58] sort of segus into this to the second [52:00] part of the question. um because uh [52:04] there are first amendment protections uh [52:07] and and I think they're important. Um [52:10] but there's but there's the bully pulpit [52:12] uh uh whether it's Jewish organizations [52:15] um whether it's political leaders um uh [52:19] and then of course there's the there is [52:21] always the legal issue and I have no [52:23] expertise in this area but it's it's [52:25] it's been brought up to me you know uh [52:28] by people who have more expertise that [52:31] these these religious institutions [52:33] operate with with with a tax tax exempt [52:36] status um and and and So uh but I think [52:39] the but I think just just the social [52:41] ostracism is a very important component [52:44] here. Um there there there's no way that [52:49] uh a synagogue or a Buddhist temple or [52:53] or a Hindu temple or or a church [52:56] preaching the kind of raw hatred that's [52:59] actually quite routine at mosques. Um it [53:02] it just for some reason it just wouldn't [53:04] be tolerated in in in the United States. [53:07] and and and we've kind of been dull. Uh [53:10] there's a numbing effect of of how [53:13] ubiquitous this is. I don't know exactly [53:15] what it is, but I you know, if I had my [53:18] brothers, every single one of these [53:20] sermons, I don't care how monotonous it [53:22] gets, every single one of these sermons [53:25] would be publicly criticized as soon as [53:27] they're discovered. uh you know and and [53:30] and the rabbis in particular would would [53:34] join the chorus of people protesting [53:36] them and and so so would the priests uh [53:39] and and all religious leaders and [53:41] politicians would would would lambaste [53:44] the mosque leaders that you you have to [53:46] stop preaching this way. Um, and I know [53:48] it sounds almost childlike and naive, [53:50] but but even that simple step is is it I [53:54] don't see it. It's it's certainly not [53:55] done ever. You know, it takes it takes [53:58] the uh what was it? the um uh I think it [54:03] was it was part of of the Muslim uh [54:06] society of America when when there was [54:08] that Hamas uh uh children's group uh [54:12] that that was you know literally calling [54:14] for slaughter uh in in in some sort of [54:17] stage act in Philadelphia and you know [54:20] so very briefly that particular sermon [54:22] that particular exhibit of of hatred was [54:25] was was roundly condemned but there are [54:28] more subtle [54:31] uh sermons and and lectures that that [54:34] are that are given constantly and it's a [54:37] and these are unique to Islam. There is [54:39] no other religion in the United States [54:42] that's that's engaging in this kind of [54:44] behavior in it in their religious [54:46] institutions. And it I I would just like [54:49] the the the public to help our [54:52] officials, whoever they are, whether [54:54] they're lay officials or religious [54:56] officials or political officials or law [54:58] enforcement officials, to just wake up [55:00] to what's going on around us. I think [55:03] that that would be step one. And maybe [55:06] some solutions would come out of that. [55:09] Um uh but but I what what what's what's [55:13] really become troubling to me and [55:15] frankly I saw this with myself you know [55:17] when I was asked a question I gave that [55:20] lecture back in in 2024 a week before [55:22] Christmas um at the Bington Public [55:24] Library in Rhode Island. Um I was [55:26] actually embarrassed that I had never [55:28] listened to any sermons in in in Rhode [55:30] Island. And but I I I think now in this [55:32] in this fraught age, I think it's become [55:35] a civic obligation for for for citizens [55:38] to do this uh to to wake people uh out [55:41] of their slumber that this is going on [55:44] around us and it's very ugly and it's [55:46] potentially very dangerous. [55:49] I'm going to try and get two more [55:50] questions in Andy if I can if you've got [55:52] the time. And um one of them has to do [55:56] we know that that Arab money is funding [55:58] university [56:00] um chairs and and and east education. Um [56:05] how do we reverse the gains? First of [56:07] all, are any universities teaching the [56:09] facts that you so clearly show to our [56:13] audience? Is there any appetite by this [56:15] for Americans and even for Europeans? [56:19] And if you can roll it into to one [56:22] question, there are some [56:25] popular Muslim reformers who make the [56:29] circuit and you know appear on radio and [56:31] TV. [56:32] [clears throat] Uh is there any reality [56:34] or is there any hope that these [56:36] reformers will have any impact or [56:39] success? Okay. So, as far as as far as [56:42] campus teaching goes, um uh I I must say [56:48] that uh the only the only uh instructor, [56:52] the only professor that I'm personally [56:53] aware with aware of that that that [56:56] teaches these kinds of materials um is [56:58] Dr. Andrew Pessen at the um at [57:01] Connecticut College. and he's always [57:04] treading very lightly uh you know uh [57:07] when he does it but he will at least uh [57:09] he's used the some of my materials he's [57:12] used other materials um it's not common [57:16] I that that I know for certain um and it [57:19] needs to be you know introduced into the [57:22] discussions uh you know uh m much much [57:25] more frequently um uh as far as uh oh oh [57:30] there is an initiative and I actually [57:32] think It does have to start much [57:34] younger. There is an init initiative by [57:36] the writer Dara Horn uh to introduce um [57:41] more uh appropriate and balanced [57:44] teaching materials. Uh I think she's [57:47] going to target mostly Jewish schools is [57:49] my understanding, but maybe she's going [57:51] to expand it to to to to um to to [57:54] non-denominational schools, uh public [57:57] schools. Um, and I've seen some of the [57:59] materials that that she's developing and [58:01] and they look good. Um, it and they they [58:05] look certainly they look more honest. [58:07] Uh, so and I think the but the idea that [58:10] it has to begin it's almost too late in [58:13] college that it has to begin, you know, [58:15] in grade school, middle, middle school, [58:16] and high school. I think that's that's [58:17] the absolutely right idea. Um, as far as [58:22] Yeah, I'm very disappointed. I have to [58:24] be frank. I'm very disappointed in in in [58:27] the Muslim reformers because they've [58:29] had, you know, since 911, so it's 25 [58:31] years now, they've had the opportunity [58:34] uh to be honest about the teaching uh [58:37] about the institutional teaching. You [58:39] know, it's one thing to say, well, Hamas [58:41] does this and Hezbollah does this and [58:43] the RGC does that. No, they're they're [58:46] not talking about Alazar. They're not [58:49] talking about the seminaries in K. um [58:53] they they're not talking about the [58:56] ubiquity of of these anti-semitic, [58:59] anti-Christian, anti- non-Muslim themes, [59:02] pro- jihad themes that are that are [59:04] ubiquitous in in mosques in general. [59:07] They they never discuss that. And and [59:09] it's it's um I'm at the point now after [59:12] waiting and waiting, you know, over a [59:14] couple of decades now, I I I just I just [59:16] find it [59:18] more than than a distraction. I I I [59:20] think it's disingenuous. and uh and I I [59:23] don't I don't uh I I I really don't [59:25] appreciate it anymore. Um you know, I I [59:28] I I think I think we've all been patient [59:30] enough with them and they're just I [59:32] don't know whether it's embarrassment. [59:34] Uh I'm not going to go to any ulterior [59:36] motives, but um it's not helpful. Uh and [59:39] it's and it it really is has an [59:40] anesthetizing [59:42] effect. Uh and and they become, you [59:46] know, in lie. So a church will be [59:49] bombed. it'll be a jihadist attack. And [59:52] instead of calling in Christian victims [59:54] to talk about the chronic plight in this [59:56] particular country under Islam, whatever [59:59] it may be, um or or if there's an [60:02] anti-Semitic attack, uh who gets called [60:05] in are these, you know, so-called [60:07] moderate Muslims. And you know, they're [60:09] never honest about about the about the [60:12] intrinsic innate uh authoritative [60:15] Islamic doctrine that that drives this [60:17] this hatred. And I I just I just don't [60:20] have any use for it anymore. [60:21] >> Yeah. [60:22] >> Andy, do you have time for a few more [60:23] questions? [60:24] >> Sure. Sure. [60:26] >> Alan, [60:27] >> um, I have one more that I'd like to ask [60:29] Andy, and I think it'll probably um lead [60:31] to some discussion, then you can uh both [60:34] offer closing comments. Andy, you you [60:36] talked about, you know, [60:38] citizens have to do what they need to [60:40] do. Can you be a little more specific? [60:43] It's a question in the in the Q&A about [60:46] what we can do to help spread the [60:48] information that you shared about the [60:49] dangers of Islam. Give us examples. [60:53] >> Um, I mean, you know, again, it's it's [60:56] bo it's boilerplate stuff. Uh, you know, [60:59] you can incorporate some of the [61:01] materials into into opeds, uh, local [61:04] op-eds, uh, call into local talk shows. [61:09] Um but I think uh what I learned just [61:12] from this experience and it's why I [61:14] wanted to share it today. What what I [61:16] learned is that you know even someone [61:18] myself who was sort of you know um kind [61:21] of apart from the scene and and studying [61:24] things in an academic way the way I was [61:25] used to studying things uh when I was an [61:27] academic in medicine. Um that has its [61:30] use. Um but there are things that are [61:33] happening right in front of us and [61:34] [clears throat] I I don't want to I [61:36] don't want to belabor this too much but [61:38] you know the the there are there are [61:40] mosques are expanding all over the [61:42] country. Um and I I I think it's really [61:46] important that we share with people uh [61:49] you know what what's to the extent that [61:52] we're capable. So after all, when I [61:53] shared the material finally, when I got [61:55] off my own rear end and actually, you [61:57] know, watched the sermons at the Islamic [61:58] Center in Rhode Island and started to [62:00] discuss them and wrote about them, you [62:02] know, the mosque's reaction was to was [62:04] to no longer broadcast their sermons on [62:06] Facebook Live and pull off all their [62:09] content. Now, fortunately, I had [62:11] archived uh you know, the and and [62:13] recorded many of the sermons and made [62:15] extracts, etc. But but I but I think [62:18] that's that that's got to be done and [62:20] and that's and and and our leaders have [62:22] to be pressed at the local level that [62:25] why why are you not tolerating this? [62:28] Again, if if there's no legal remedy, um [62:31] if you can't get rid of their tax exempt [62:33] status, if they're not saying things [62:34] that are so inflammatory that maybe [62:36] there's even some criminal statute that [62:38] can be invoked, at least get out in [62:40] public and say, you know, stop stop [62:43] preaching this way. you're destroying [62:45] any chance of communal harmony. Uh, you [62:48] know, and and so again that and and [62:51] citizens I think at this point have to [62:54] step into that void and and and and go [62:58] record and and and confront uh and the [63:02] local officials with what's with what's [63:04] going on. [63:05] >> And and one very practical question, one [63:08] one listener asks, "How can we listen to [63:11] these sermons live? How do we find them? [63:13] >> Okay. Well, again, I discovered uh and [63:17] and this happens a lot that many of them [63:19] many of the sermons on Fridays are live [63:21] streamed. Um they and whether it's on on [63:25] Facebook or on YouTube channels, etc. So [63:28] that's that's actually uh the simple [63:30] simplest way. And then you know if you [63:33] can't watch them live, many of them are [63:35] still archived. you know the the the [63:38] bigger problem becomes when when you [63:40] know uh unsavory material is discovered [63:43] and they start pulling things down. [63:45] >> Can you give a can you can you give a [63:47] search term that somebody can use to [63:48] find the even the archive one of the [63:50] listeners? [63:52] Uh, no. I Well, maybe there is. I I all [63:55] All all I would do is go to your local [63:57] mosque and and see if their Facebook [63:59] page or their or their all local mosques [64:02] as the cases may be. Uh, and and just [64:05] see if if if uh you know, they they will [64:07] tell you pretty clearly if if the uh if [64:09] the Friday kutbuzz or other functions at [64:11] the mosque are are live streamed or or [64:13] or recorded. That's usually pretty easy [64:16] to find out. [64:17] >> Very interesting. The problem becomes [64:19] Alan when they when you discover you [64:21] know this unpleasant content and they [64:23] start pulling it down and you know then [64:25] then we have another problem [64:29] >> right then it's gone more do you have [64:31] any closing questions [64:33] >> first of all how is this this uh ZOA [64:37] presentation available for people to [64:39] download it or to send it around [64:42] >> well we're certainly going to um post [64:45] the complete webinar on our YouTube [64:48] channel probably as early as tomorrow. [64:51] >> And and how do they download the YouTube [64:52] channel? [64:53] >> You go to www.zoa.org. [64:56] You'll find the YouTube icon and you can [64:57] click on it. It'll take you right to the [64:59] ZOA YouTube channel [65:02] >> and Andy's I'm sorry to interrupt, but [65:05] and then Andy's presentation is embedded [65:07] in the webinar. [65:09] [clears throat] [65:10] >> And uh Dr. Basam, do you think that [65:13] Americans that we should be getting in [65:16] touch with our members of the House and [65:17] Senate and telling them to do something [65:21] about this? What should when we write to [65:23] our members of the House Senator or [65:24] speak to them, what should we tell them [65:26] we want done by our members of the House [65:27] and Senate? [65:29] >> Um, so there are a lot of lawyers in the [65:32] House and the Senate. Um, and and again, [65:35] this is where I can't advi I can't [65:36] advise people. Um, depending on the [65:39] sermon content, uh, some of it may be [65:42] actionable. Uh, you know, obviously, you [65:44] know, if there's if there's named calls [65:47] for, you know, threats, that's a local [65:49] police matter. But I'm talking more [65:51] about, um, you know, uh, examining our [65:56] or certain sermons in violation of of [65:59] the freedom that religious institutions [66:00] are given visa v their tax exempt status [66:03] and things like that. Um but but but the [66:07] other thing again particularly with [66:08] Congressman and senators Mort is the [66:10] bully pulpit you know to just to expose [66:14] what what mosque X has been has said or [66:18] saying repeatedly and and and and [66:22] tell tell them that that that this is [66:24] destructive and and they must stop. I I [66:27] I mean I I think I know again it sounds [66:30] childlike and naive to to to point that [66:32] out but but even that is not being done. [66:35] >> So what so what should people on this [66:38] call and other people in in your [66:40] estimation [66:42] ask members of the House Senate to say [66:44] publicly short of legal action? What [66:46] should we ask our rabbis to say publicly [66:48] because they're silent on this? What [66:50] should we be ask them? Do you think [66:52] >> I I I think they should simple blunt [66:54] statements that this that preaching this [66:56] kind of hatred, preaching this kind of [66:58] potential incitement to violence when it [67:00] when you're now talking about jihad, [67:02] even statements like that that I found [67:04] like fight the disbelievers and and the [67:06] polytheists, you know, two days after [67:09] the carnage in New Orleans. um that that [67:12] that should be pointed out and condemned [67:14] you know simple condemnation of the of [67:17] the em you know is is there is there a a [67:21] level of embarrassment that these people [67:24] can suffer [clears throat] maybe there [67:26] isn't but at least at least it has to be [67:28] attempted [67:30] >> I might mention there is an anti-sharia [67:33] law group caucus in congress now I think [67:36] there [67:37] >> I think there may be 90 or 100 members [67:39] already I [67:40] The last I saw was it was at least 60. [67:42] It was growing. [67:43] >> And I must say, this is a statement of [67:46] fact, not a political statement. Uh it [67:48] was all Republicans. I don't think there [67:50] was a single Democrat on it. [67:51] Unfortunately, we need to get more [67:52] Democrats involved in expressing their [67:55] concern. [67:55] >> That's my understanding too, Mort. uh [67:57] you know and and and they were they were [67:59] kind of focused on this issue of of the [68:03] interface uh or the overstepping really [68:06] of of of of Sharia Islamic law you know [68:08] v visa v you know American civil law um [68:12] but but I I I think that there's a lot [68:15] more opportunity for them them [68:17] [clears throat] too to just delve into [68:19] the hostility towards non-Muslims and [68:22] and point it out and again it may not be [68:24] legally actionable it [laughter] may be [68:26] protected speech We have to live with [68:27] that unfortunately, but at least to [68:30] point it out and [laughter] condemn it. [68:32] >> Should people on this call and other [68:34] people that we know, should they be [68:37] writing to the heads of Jewish [68:39] organizations to speak out? Do you think [68:41] it's important that the heads of Jewish [68:43] organizations speak out? Should we be [68:45] writing to them? Should we be asking [68:46] them to do something to say something? [68:48] >> Yes. Yes. And I I would I you know, I've [68:50] I've asked for this. I you know, look, [68:53] we we have to stop and it's our own [68:55] fault. I I I look I know look there are [68:57] always issues between organizations [69:01] um but we're at such a crisis point now [69:04] um we we have to start sharing materials [69:07] that are out there that exist. So, for [69:08] example, and I'll I'll give this one, [69:11] and I don't mean it to be fraught with [69:13] any complications for anybody, but but [69:15] there is this vast uh uh corpus of [69:18] materials that that the Middle East [69:20] Media Research Institute uh has put out [69:23] in the past and and and frankly puts out [69:26] pretty regularly, almost each week, [69:28] sometimes each few days. Um and when and [69:31] when if it's in your area, if if you're [69:34] if you're Oh my goodness, this is my [69:36] sermon. this is my mosque in New Jersey [69:38] or it's near me in New Jersey or in New [69:40] York or in Connecticut or wherever you [69:42] live. Um then then I think because [69:45] memory is is memory from what I [69:48] understand does not view itself as as an [69:52] organization that's going to do anything [69:54] except identify this content. But but [69:57] but that 25 years of memory doing that [70:02] has shown to me empirically that that [70:04] that's that's that's important. But it's [70:07] not effective enough. What what has to [70:08] happen is that sermons and whether [70:10] whether memory discovers them or you [70:12] discover them on their own, they they [70:14] have to be amplified and they have to be [70:16] attached to letters of condemnation from [70:20] local religious leaders. Uh ideally, if [70:23] there were if there really were moderate [70:25] Muslims, to get them to condemn another [70:27] another would would would be great. But [70:30] if it's an anti-Christian sermon, at [70:31] least a pastor. If it's an anti-semitic [70:33] sermon, at least a rabbi. and and over [70:36] and repeat the process over and over and [70:38] over again. Uh you know because because [70:42] it's one thing to say well you know what [70:44] what's it going to do if what's it going [70:46] to do? It never happens so we don't know [70:49] what it's going to do. Uh so so but if [70:51] it happened every week and there was an [70:53] example every week it you know even even [70:57] the attention deficit disturbed American [70:59] public might start to get the idea. [71:04] >> Dr. Bosam, thank you so much for your [71:06] holy work in simply exposing the truth [71:09] of the Arab Islamic war against the [71:12] West, against the Jews, against the [71:14] Christians, against the Buddhists, [71:15] against the Hindus. We are all involved [71:18] and all of us have to fight this and [71:20] stop this. We see what's happened in [71:22] Europe, how we've really lost uh France [71:25] and England and Germany and Belgium. Uh [71:27] we can't let that happen here. So this [71:30] is a clarion call you've made today that [71:32] we have to take this very seriously [71:34] before it overwhelms our lives and [71:37] destroys uh the the free freedom that we [71:41] have here in the United States of [71:42] America. Thank you everyone for being on [71:44] this very important call. I consider [71:46] this one of the most important webinars [71:47] we've ever had. Dr. Boston, I look [71:49] forward to having you back uh again [71:52] where you can report that things have [71:53] gotten better. [71:55] >> Thank you very much. Well, thank you [71:56] Alan. Thank you Jackie. Thank you [71:59] everyone.
