So over the over the past [00:02] few weeks, we've talked about a bunch of [00:05] individual stories out of Iran as [00:08] they've come up in the headlines, [00:09] whether it's the Houthi attacks on Saudi [00:12] Arabia, Babel Mandeb, and how that [00:14] relates to the Iran war. We've talked [00:16] about Pickax Mountain and the and the [00:19] new satellite photos. We've talked about [00:21] what's happening on the diplomatic [00:23] front, Straits of Hormuz, and we just [00:24] talk about them as isolated stories. [00:26] We've covered each one as its own [00:28] headline. But what I'd like to do in [00:29] this video is take a step back and look [00:32] at all of the different Iran related [00:35] stories that are going on right now over [00:37] the last couple of weeks. These are all [00:38] going to be recent headlines. Put them [00:40] all side by side and and see them as the [00:45] overall strategy. So the point of this [00:47] video is what is the current overall [00:50] Iranian strategy? What are the different [00:52] things they're doing? And let's put it [00:53] all together and see it for what it is. [00:55] And then at the end we'll sum up what [00:57] they are trying to do. The bottom line, [00:58] I'll tell you the bottom line up front. [01:00] The bottom line is that as I said before [01:03] the war even started, the Iranians goal [01:06] is to survive the Trump administration [01:09] and remain in power no matter how [01:11] battered and bruised and beaten they [01:13] are. All of that in the end of the day [01:17] they can live with. They just need to [01:19] remain in power until the end. Okay. So, [01:21] they know that they're under existential [01:23] pressure. We're going to go through all [01:24] of the different points of their uh [01:27] victory strategy. And I call it a [01:29] victory strategy because again, for [01:31] them, victory is just surviving. They [01:32] never thought that they could beat the [01:34] Americans on the battlefield anyway. So, [01:36] let's get into it. Here we go. Point [01:38] number one, hold the world's oil [01:40] hostage, right? Um [01:43] the what we know, and we've talked about [01:45] this ad nauseium, we don't have to go [01:47] into into great depth. The the Houthis [01:50] have struck Saudi Arabia directly. [01:52] They've hit oil facilities. [01:55] They've uh they seized the Mocha port. [01:57] They've they've seized the whole [01:59] coastline, the Baband Strait. And uh and [02:03] it wasn't just the Houthis freelancing [02:06] because this really is an Iran story [02:07] because as we know, the Iranians were [02:10] behind the whole thing. The US now [02:12] assesses that hundreds of IRGC officers [02:15] are on the ground in Yemen coordinating [02:17] this offensive directly. That the [02:20] coastal advance toward the strait was [02:22] carried out quote with direct guidance [02:24] from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard [02:27] Corps. Okay. So this is this is an [02:31] Iranian effort that is happening. [02:37] Look, this is the equation Iran has been [02:39] running for months now. If you squeeze [02:41] us at Hormuz, we're going to make sure [02:43] that no oil route in the region is safe. [02:46] We're going to block the Persian Gulf, [02:48] threatening the Red Sea, blackmailing [02:50] with the shipping lanes. Okay, so that's [02:53] vector number one. That's point number [02:55] one of the Iranian regime strategy. [02:58] Okay, point number two of the Iranian [03:00] regime strategy is basically protect the [03:03] crown jewels and pickaxe mountain, the [03:06] nuclear program. make sure that they can [03:08] hang on to whatever they can of the [03:11] nuclear program so that it remains [03:12] intact. Right. While while everything's [03:15] happening in Hormuz and Babel Manddeb, [03:17] here's what they're doing underground. [03:19] And the photos from late August [03:22] that we reported on, we talked about [03:24] them. Uh these are the photos from [03:26] Pickax Mountain. And uh they've been [03:28] widely publicized. [03:31] And what do they show? They show that [03:32] Iran has piled up earth across the roads [03:35] leading to the western tunnel entrances. [03:37] All four entrances to that mountain are [03:39] no are now blocked to vehicles. Uh and [03:42] the word in the words of uh of this [03:44] piece of uh this is from the [03:48] uh the Institute for Science and [03:50] International Security. And as they put [03:53] it in here, the uh [03:57] it appears the Iran appears unable to [04:01] enter the underground facility with [04:02] vehicles. So what that means is that the [04:04] regime is so worried about another [04:06] strike on the site that it's willing to [04:07] seal itself out of it out of the site to [04:10] a certain extent. They're blocking the [04:12] entrances and they're also and they're [04:14] they're the other report we saw show [04:16] that they were reinforcing them uh so [04:18] that they'd be harder to strike. They [04:20] don't want to let any access into them. [04:23] Could that be where the uranium is [04:24] stored? I don't know. But they're [04:25] definitely Let's just sum this sum up [04:28] this point we have so far. Number one [04:30] was Babel Mandev. Number two is Pickaxe [04:32] Mountain. There's activity there. I did [04:34] a video on this last week about all the [04:36] different activity there. Fine. Point [04:38] number three, buy time using the Turks. [04:43] By time using the Turks. Let's pull that [04:44] headline up, right? Turkish and Iranian [04:47] interior ministers discussed [04:48] counterterrorism, crossborder security. [04:52] Very nice. What What is this about? This [04:54] is yesterday. On September 16th, Iran's [04:58] interior minister flew to Anchora to [05:00] meet his Turkish counterpart. On paper, [05:02] it was framed as a security meeting, [05:04] counterterrorism, talking about the PKK, [05:07] the Kurdish militias, border [05:09] cooperation, but it's in the middle of a [05:12] broader Turkish effort, one that [05:14] outlets, numerous outlets like the [05:17] Atlantic Council and others, I think I [05:18] quoted the Atlantic Council in a piece [05:20] yesterday. They've been tracking this [05:22] for months, uh, that Turkey is [05:24] positioning itself as the mediator that [05:26] will end this war. and specifically [05:29] uh they're pressing Iran to reopen the [05:31] straits of Hormuz. That's true. But [05:33] Turkey is trying to help the Iranian [05:36] regime survive. [05:38] Now, before we go on, I want to uh [05:41] remind you of a very exciting and [05:43] important trip. [07:19] Uh so point number four, point number [07:22] four is hold on to China because it's [07:25] the only friend with money left. Okay, [07:28] so this is another point in their [07:29] strategy. So they're they're holding on, [07:31] they're doing diplomacy with Turkey. [07:33] They're also doing diplomacy with China. [07:34] Abbas Arachi, the Iranian foreign [07:36] minister, was in Beijing yesterday. Very [07:39] important visit. Um [07:42] it was his second trip there since the [07:44] war started. And a few days earlier at [07:47] the BRICS summit in New Delhi, Aragshi [07:49] tried to get the BRICS block to [07:51] explicitly condemn the American and [07:53] Israeli strikes on Iran. It didn't work. [07:56] The final statement did not name the US [07:58] or Israel at all. And it also I I talked [08:01] about this in an earlier video. It kind [08:02] of uh it had language that could even be [08:06] interpreted as America and Israel didn't [08:08] do anything wrong. It was weird [08:09] language, but the final statement did [08:11] not fully succeed in terms of uh what [08:14] the Iranians wanted. Uh he even accused [08:17] the UAE of complicity in attack in the [08:20] attacks on Iran, which didn't win him [08:21] any friends in the room either. So he [08:24] went straight to Beijing and he met with [08:26] China's foreign minister Wangi. By his [08:28] own account, he called the talks in [08:30] China successful, saying that Iran wants [08:32] quote the restoration of calm to the [08:35] region and friendly and peaceful [08:36] relations. And here's the part that [08:38] shows you how much of a fullcourt press [08:40] this really is. Listen to this. So I [08:42] talked about how they've got this dip. [08:45] They have the interior minister in [08:47] Ankora yesterday or two days ago and [08:50] then Aragshi is flying off to Beijing. [08:55] And the same day while he's sitting in [08:57] Beijing, Aragshi gets on the phone with [09:00] Turkeykey's foreign minister Hakan Fedan [09:03] and also with Pakistan's army chief Aim [09:06] Munir during a diplomatic visit to [09:08] Beijing. Iran Zarakshi holds calls with [09:11] Pakistan army chief Turkish foreign [09:12] minister. This happened while he was in [09:13] China. Like is so think about that. This [09:17] this is a serious flurry of diplomatic [09:20] activity that is going on. So they're [09:22] reaching out to all their friends all at [09:24] once trying to get them all on their [09:26] side. [09:28] So one he's meeting with one country in [09:29] person, the Chinese, two more by phone, [09:31] all in the same 24 hours. China and to [09:34] the le and to a lesser extent Russia are [09:36] functionally the last two countries [09:37] still willing to keep uh Iranian oil [09:42] money flowing, maybe trying to help Iran [09:44] get around the sanctions, although it [09:46] looks like China's not even buying their [09:47] oil anymore. Turkey and Pakistan are the [09:50] two that Iran needs to keep quiet on its [09:54] western and eastern flanks while all of [09:57] this is going on. [09:59] So it it because if they lose their [10:02] coalition, if they lose their allies, [10:03] then then they're really in in bad [10:05] shape. So they are really working the [10:07] diplom the diplomatic front. Uh now [10:11] Pakistan [10:13] the call to Pakistan is worth noting for [10:16] another reason because there's a piece [10:18] from a Pakistani outlet Na Daer and the [10:21] headline says one story but if you read [10:23] the article you see something else. So [10:25] here's the headline. Aim Munir urges [10:28] Iran to persuade Houthis to halt Saudi [10:31] energy attacks. That sounds like a kind [10:32] of pro-western headline, right? Oh, the [10:34] Pakistanis are trying to get the the [10:36] Iranians to persuade the Houthis to [10:38] behave themselves. Great. But as is so [10:40] often the case in these stories, there's [10:42] a buried lead down in there. [10:45] So if you scroll down in the piece, you [10:47] see what else they talked about in this [10:50] call between now this is a call between [10:52] the the Iranian foreign minister and the [10:55] head and and Aim Munir. This the the [10:58] he's the top guy. He's the military [11:00] chief in Pakistan while Arachi is in [11:03] China. And look what it says down here. [11:05] Munir and Aarshi also discussed ways to [11:07] restart stalled direct talks between [11:09] Washington and Tehran. According to [11:11] Pakistani officials, Aragshi indicated [11:13] that Iran was prepared to return to [11:15] negotiations if the United States halted [11:18] hostilities in the straight of Hormuz [11:19] and adhered to the Islamabad memorandum. [11:22] That's the oldu that's been dead and [11:24] buried. China is also involved in [11:26] diplomatic efforts to prevent the [11:28] conflict from spreading further. So we [11:30] now see what happens. Read between the [11:31] lines. This call happened while he's [11:34] sitting in China. He's probably in [11:36] Wangi's office, the the Chinese foreign [11:38] minister, [11:40] and he gets on the phone with Pakistan [11:43] and says, "Hey, let the Americans know [11:46] that I'm willing to talk." And what have [11:50] we here? [11:53] This is from today. [11:57] Hello. The uh Trump says Trump claims [12:01] direct talks with Iran. Is diplomacy [12:02] picking up again? The US president says [12:05] Washington is hopefully toward the end [12:06] of its war with Iran. [12:09] Okay. Are we are we seeing the whole [12:12] pattern here? So this is this is what's [12:14] happening. Let's lay let's lay out the [12:16] whole thing on a calendar. [12:18] Okay. The this diplomatic piece. Foreign [12:21] minister goes to Beijing on the 15th. [12:23] The interior minister goes to Ankora on [12:26] the 16th. Then on the 17th, before he's [12:28] even left Beijing, the foreign minister [12:30] or on the 16th, it was it was reported [12:32] on the 17th, he's back on the phone to [12:35] Anchora and to Islamabad [12:38] trying to get this the talk started with [12:40] Washington again. This is three [12:42] countries in three days and Turkey and [12:45] Turkey was contacted twice through two [12:47] different officials. [12:49] This is not a these are not just [12:51] diplomatic visits, okay? This is they're [12:54] they're in a state of panic. [12:57] Okay, that's what's happening here. [12:59] Point number five in the Iranian [13:00] strategy, and we'll sum this all up at [13:03] the end just in case you uh haven't been [13:05] taking notes. Point number five is [13:09] get rid of the uh opposition or keep [13:11] them quiet. Burn down anyone who might [13:13] help topple the regime. This is the one [13:15] that doesn't get nearly enough [13:17] attention. I talked about it in a video [13:18] I made about Iraq yesterday. For months [13:20] now, Iran has been carrying out a [13:22] sustained campaign of drone and missile [13:24] strikes against Iranian Kurdish [13:27] opposition groups, not inside Iran, but [13:29] across the border in Iraqi Kurdistan. [13:32] Right on, for example, on September 7th, [13:34] Iranian drones hit a Kamala camp in [13:36] Sulammania, which is right near the [13:39] Iranian border. [13:41] That's the province close that's right [13:42] there. Um, and one official there said [13:45] that his group has absorbed over a [13:46] hundred strikes since February. the [13:49] Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan. [13:51] These are Kurd the These are Iranian [13:56] Iranian expats sort of Kurds who are [14:00] anti-regime. Remember at the beginning [14:01] of the war where we heard about the [14:02] Kurds maybe coming across the border to [14:04] help topple the regime. That's these [14:05] guys. So they've been hit 150 times. [14:09] Altogether we're talking about more than [14:11] a thousand drone and missile strikes on [14:13] Iraqi Kurdistan by the Iranians. And [14:15] these are ongoing [14:17] now. Earlier this year, multiple US [14:20] outlets reported that the CIA had begun [14:22] working with some of these Kurdish [14:23] groups, arming them, coordinating with [14:25] them with the explicit goal of sparking [14:27] an uprising inside Iran. So, the regime [14:30] knows exactly uh what they're doing [14:32] here. Every strike on these camps is [14:36] trying to put down the threat before it [14:38] crosses the border. That's what this is [14:39] about. Now, [14:44] sorry, a little cough there. Point [14:45] number six. Okay, this is the last point [14:47] in the Iranian strategy and then we're [14:49] going to sum everything up and this is [14:50] the one that should chill you the most [14:53] and this is that they have been [14:55] executing their own people and we've [14:57] talked about this also. Um so [15:01] back in December and January, Iran was [15:03] rocked by nationwide protests. The [15:05] regime's answer since then has been an [15:07] execution campaign. Human Rights Watch [15:09] reported on September 10th that between [15:12] mid-March and the end of August, Iran [15:14] executed [15:16] uh 59 men on political charges and then [15:19] at least 29 at least 29 of them were [15:21] people who were arrested during the [15:23] December and January protest there. This [15:25] is ongoing. Some of the men executed [15:27] were 18 to 19 years old. And I've talked [15:30] about these executions. If you watch my [15:31] videos over the last couple months, I [15:33] bring this up periodically where I I [15:35] mention their names and I talk about the [15:36] executions. And these executions, [15:40] according to Human Rights Watch, were [15:41] aimed to instill fear in the population [15:44] and deter additional public dissent. A [15:46] senior researcher on the report put it [15:48] even more bluntly. He said, "The [15:49] authorities message is clearly that [15:51] protests will be met with brutality." [15:54] So, they're sending this message to the [15:55] people with these ongoing executions and [15:58] they're carrying them out in drips and [16:00] drabs. So, that is a constant drum beat [16:02] of people getting executed. And so the [16:04] regime is basically looking at their own [16:06] population saying if you try this again [16:09] this is what's going to happen to you. [16:10] Okay. So let's put all six of the of of [16:14] the of the pieces of the Iranian [16:16] strategy that we've talked about in this [16:18] video. Let's line them up and and just [16:21] remind ourselves what it is we are [16:23] seeing here. Okay. Let's put the whole [16:24] picture together. [16:26] Number one, Iran is choking shipping [16:29] lanes to threaten the world's oil [16:30] supply. So whatever they're doing in [16:32] Hormuz, claiming there's mines even [16:33] though there aren't, that's one thing. [16:34] But then there's Babel Mandeb. So that's [16:36] strategy number one. Activate the [16:38] Houthis and Babel Mandeb and and cause [16:41] more disruptions to oil supply. Keep the [16:43] price of oil high. That hurts Trump. [16:45] That puts pressure. Great. That's number [16:46] one. Number two, [16:48] protect the nuclear program. Pickax [16:51] Mountain. Get the machinery in there. We [16:53] talked about that in an earlier video. [16:55] Fortify Pickax Mountain so that it can't [16:58] be it can't be taken out on the ground. [17:00] make the roads to it inaccessible just [17:02] in case they try to come in with [17:04] personnel, which means they might [17:05] already have their equipment in there. [17:07] But basically, preserve the nuclear [17:09] program. That's number two. Number [17:11] three, [17:12] diplomacy like crazy to Turkey, flying [17:15] the interior min minister to Turkey. I [17:17] mean, I guess three and four are sort of [17:19] the same. Number four, foreign minister [17:21] to China, working the phones to Turkey [17:23] and Pakistan. Okay, so three and four is [17:25] really one. So maybe there's five. [17:28] Diplomacy. [17:30] Next number five, carpet bombing Kurdish [17:33] camps across the Iraqi border because [17:36] Washington is quietly arming that force, [17:39] the one force that could actually help [17:42] topple the regime that they can ar that [17:44] they can easily arm. Again, there are [17:47] reports that the Americans are arming [17:48] them. Number six, and finally, executing [17:51] people in instilling this reign of [17:54] terror and making sure that the people [17:56] are deterred from coming back out into [17:58] the streets. Now, none of these [18:01] different vectors, these six different [18:03] vectors is a separate story. This is the [18:05] regime fighting for its survival uh [18:08] externally through its proxies and its [18:10] diplomacy, internally through the terror [18:13] against its own people and protecting [18:14] what you know what's left of the nuclear [18:16] program. This is the Iranian regime's [18:19] victory strategy. Not winning the war [18:21] outright. They know they can't do that, [18:23] but surviving by any means available for [18:25] as long as it takes. That's what I [18:26] wanted to share with you today. The [18:28] overall strategy is just again just [18:30] pulling it all together. Summing up what [18:32] we've seen over the last few weeks.
