Transcript [00:00] A major event just happened on the [00:03] Temple Mount. The event involved Jews [00:06] using a tool on the mount, a tool used [00:08] in this capacity, probably for the first [00:10] time in 2,000 years. And the response [00:14] from the Palestinian Authority tells you [00:15] pretty much everything you need to know [00:17] about how significant this actually is. [00:20] They called it quote a dangerous tool [00:22] through which Israel seeks to impose its [00:24] sovereignty and alter the historical and [00:27] legal status of the Alexa mosque. And by [00:30] Alexa Mosque, they are referring to the [00:32] Temple Mount. So in their words, Israel [00:35] is taking action to impose sovereignty [00:38] over the place where a third temple will [00:40] hopefully soon be built. [00:44] To kick this off, don't freak out about [00:46] me saying that hopefully the temple will [00:48] soon be rebuilt. Yes, I'm a Christian. [00:51] My entire life is shaped around that [00:53] identity and faith, but I firmly believe [00:56] that Christians, even more than anyone [00:58] else, should unequivocally support the [01:00] rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. [01:02] And I'll explain why in a few minutes. [01:05] Before we get into that though, let's [01:07] talk about what just happened on the [01:09] Temple Mount. Israel just went through [01:12] Rosh Shana, the day God commanded his [01:14] people to blow the chauffear. The day [01:16] when the nation celebrates crowning God [01:18] as king. And arguably Rosh Shaah is one [01:21] of the most important holidays to [01:23] specifically be celebrated on the Temple [01:26] Mount. Biblically, the Temple Mount is [01:28] the place where God chose to put his [01:30] name forever. If he is the king, then [01:33] the Temple Mount is his palace. But for [01:36] nearly the last 2,000 years, Jews have [01:38] had to do Roshana services in exile. And [01:41] even in the early 1900s, when Jews [01:43] returned to the land of Israel, the [01:45] Temple Mount, and even the Western Wall [01:47] were off limits. There are very cool [01:50] stories of Jews in the 1940s who would [01:52] carry out elaborate deception campaigns [01:54] to smuggle a chauffear to the Western [01:56] Wall. Uh the British police would be on [01:58] high alert trying to spot who might be [02:00] carrying it this year. Uh but time and [02:02] time again, Jews found a way to fool [02:05] them. Then in the prayer services for [02:07] Rosh Sha or Yamipur, a chauffear would [02:09] be pulled out and blown. The police [02:12] would spring into action and a chase [02:14] would ensue, usually leading to the [02:16] arrest of the Jew who blew the [02:17] chauffear, ending in prison time. And [02:20] today, even though Jews can now worship [02:23] freely at the Western Wall, praying or [02:25] blowing a chauffear on the Temple Mount [02:27] has still been strictly off limits. This [02:30] is a video of just a couple of years [02:32] ago. Rabbi Yehuda Glick was trying to [02:34] play the sound of a chauffear on his [02:36] phone, just on his phone on the Temple [02:38] Mount and uh getting stopped by Israeli [02:41] police. [02:55] >> But just last week, all of that changed. [02:58] Initially, Jews were allowed to ascend [03:00] the Temple Mount on Rosh Shanai in [03:02] groups of 30. Uh, usually one group [03:04] would be led up, led around the mount, [03:06] and then made to descend before a new [03:08] group would come up. But this time, the [03:11] police let multiple groups be up there [03:13] at the same time. Not only that, but [03:16] prayer books and prayer shaws were also [03:18] allowed as well. This means there ended [03:20] up being hundreds of Jews on the temple [03:22] mount at the same time and they stayed [03:25] up there for around 4 hours to pray the [03:27] entire morning prayer service lasting [03:29] four hours. [03:40] Not only that, but a chauffear was [03:42] actually smuggled up along with the [03:44] silver trumpets, the kind God ordained [03:46] to be blown in the temple. And as part [03:49] of the Russ Shana service, both were [03:51] actually blown. Now there were [03:53] consequences. Several Jews responsible [03:55] for smuggling the chauffires up on the [03:57] mount were detained for questioning. But [03:59] unlike previous years, the police didn't [04:01] interrupt the initial blowing. They let [04:03] them finish, then detain them for [04:05] questioning, which is amazing. By the [04:08] way, before we get into the rest of [04:09] this, we actually have this patch that [04:11] pairs uh the silhouette of the temple in [04:13] Jerusalem with the Hebrew word for [04:15] Messiah, Messiah, a way to carry a piece [04:18] of Jerusalem and your faith with you [04:19] wherever you go. It's also become [04:22] largely popular with IDF soldiers since [04:24] October 7th. Uh this is a durable [04:27] embroidered patch that velcros right [04:29] onto your jacket, backpack, or hat. But to [04:49] get back to the story, Rabbi Josh Wander [04:51] said in response, quote, "We managed, I [04:54] think for the first time in thousands of [04:56] years to blow the chauffar together with [04:58] the silver trumpets on the Temple Mount. [05:01] We also had a backup plan right behind [05:03] the eastern wall where we were standing [05:05] and praying at what is called Shah [05:07] Harakaman, the Golden Gate, the mercy [05:09] gate. People were waiting there too with [05:11] chauffear in case we didn't succeed in [05:14] blowing on the mount itself. So we had [05:16] all of our bases covered. And just to [05:19] remind you just a few years ago, this is [05:21] what the Temple Mount looked like on [05:23] Rosh Shaah. [05:31] As you can see, Muslims barricaded [05:33] themselves in the mosque, the Alaka. [05:35] They started fires, they threw rocks, [05:37] uh, broke the windows, etc. It took [05:40] Israeli police hours to finally get them [05:42] out of the mosque and then days to [05:43] repair the damages and get the Temple [05:45] Mount operational again. [05:52] And today, thank God, just a few years [05:54] later, we have Jews praying the entire [05:56] Roshana service on the Temple Mount [05:58] itself, including with the sound of the [06:01] chauffear in silver trumpets, which is [06:03] amazing. And those Arabs who not that [06:06] long ago controlled the Temple Mount [06:07] with massive riots, were really nowhere [06:10] to be seen. The prayer was so loud on [06:12] the mount at one point that it was [06:14] actually louder for a moment than the [06:16] prayer at the Western Wall, as you can [06:19] see in this video. [06:42] Like I said earlier, Roshes Shana is the [06:44] day that God is crowned as king by the [06:47] nation of Israel. And what a fitting and [06:50] extremely significant way to do this on [06:52] the Temple Mount itself, the place God [06:54] chose to put his name forever. And I can [06:58] maybe hear your confusion as I mentioned [07:00] earlier. Why should you as a Christian [07:03] actually support or get excited about [07:05] Jews praying on the Temple Mount and the [07:07] possibility of it one day being rebuilt? [07:10] From my perspective, it really is [07:12] simple. 2 Chronicles 7:16 says, "For now [07:17] I have chosen and consecrated this house [07:19] so that my name may be there forever. My [07:22] eyes and my heart will be there for all [07:25] time." And I don't know about you, but I [07:28] take God at his word. If he says he [07:30] chose this place forever and his eyes [07:32] and his heart will be there forever, I [07:36] believe it. And don't forget that Jesus [07:38] himself said in the gospels that quote, [07:40] "My father's house shall be called a [07:42] house of prayer for all nations." He [07:45] told his disciples that his father's [07:47] house has many rooms for them. And the [07:48] disciples say about Jesus himself that [07:51] zeal for the house consumes him. Then [07:54] after Jesus ascended into heaven, the [07:56] disciples continued to pray, meet and [07:59] teach continually in the temple, only [08:01] stopping when it was destroyed in 70 AD. [08:04] Ezekiel outlines in the days of Jesus's [08:07] return that he will come back to the [08:09] temple mount and the center of his [08:11] government will be from Jerusalem. And [08:14] even in the book of Revelation, Jesus [08:15] encourages believers by telling them [08:17] that he will make he who overcomes to be [08:20] a pillar in the temple of his God. But [08:23] doesn't the Bible say that the temple [08:25] will be the temple of the Antichrist? [08:28] Many people claim this, but scripturally [08:30] it's not actually true. The New [08:33] Testament says that the Antichrist will [08:35] set himself up to be God in the temple [08:38] of God, defiling it. He specifically [08:41] goes into the temple because it is the [08:44] temple of God. Because it matters to [08:47] God. If it belonged to the Antichrist, [08:49] why would this actually matter? Also, [08:52] the scripture says that he defiles it. [08:54] How can you defile something that isn't [08:56] actually holy? Guys, world events are [08:59] moving fast. God has brought his people [09:01] back to their land. That land is being [09:04] restored. Prophecies are being [09:05] fulfilled. And one day at a time, we get [09:07] closer to the day when the word of God [09:09] goes forth from Jerusalem to the entire [09:12] earth. The day when the knowledge of God [09:14] covers the earth as the waters cover the [09:17] sea. And one day soon, hopefully, we [09:19] will actually see the temple rebuilt as [09:21] a house of prayer for all nations, just [09:24] as Jesus said it one day will be.
